Presentation to Councillor Russell Geen to commemorate 30 years service as a Councillor serving Woodbridge Town Council.

A surprise presentation was recently made to Councillor Russell Geen to mark 30 years continuous service to Woodbridge Town Council.
Russell joined the Town Council in 1976 and has served on many committees on the Council and has had the unique achievement of being Town Mayor in each of the last 3 decades, namely 1982/1983, 1994/1995 and 2004/2005.
As well as this, he has served as Chairman of the Amenities Committee for many years and has worked on several outside bodies in the Town notably the Tide Mill Trust and the Woodbridge Museum Trust.
Russell spearheaded the Woodbridge Festival which ran for many years and attracted thousands of visitors into the town for a week-long event, and recently has been involved in the annual Picnic in the Park event held in Elmhurst Park .
The presentation was made to Russell by Councillor Robin Buncombe the Chairman of the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) Executive Committee at a recent Town Council meeting.
