The latest news is that the newly named Rock Barracks will accommodate the 23rd Engineer Regiment (Air Assault).

There will be a total of 650 in the regiment, 200 within families and 450 single or unaccompanied soldiers. They will integrate with local community and use local facilities, shops etc. The barracks will be fully operational in September.

The Chamber of Commerce is planning to hold a ‘Welcome to Woodbridge’ event at the barracks in September.
