Angel Lane one-way?

When I enquired about the possible one-way system for Angel Lane, I received the reply shown below, from Angela Rapley, of Suffolk County Council. Linn Barringer, web site administrator

We have been asked to look at measures to reduce the traffic flow along Angel Lane by some of the residents of the road. The principle of this is supported by the town council.

As a first step, we carried out traffic counts along Angel Lane and the surrounding roads to see what the current traffic flows are.

We then looked at what possible measures could be introduced to reduce the traffic flows and their impact on other roads in the area. We then carried out consultations with the local councils and emergency services on the possible measures to see whether there were any problems with them. From this, when we go to the public, we are in a position to give them the full storey i.e. who supports which option, where there are concerns etc.

This public consultation is likely to start at the end of this month [July] and will involve a letter drop to all properties in the area and with possibly additional copies of the being made available at Shire Hall.

I hope the above fully advises you of the current position.
