Despite the weather the event was well supported, with several thousand visitors, whose entrance fees went to charity. The event also incorporated the local Red Cross organisation's annual fete, which is normally held in Woodbridge.
At a ceremony at Sandlings Primary School, on the Rock Barracks 'estate' a ceremony was held to present the proceeds:
£2,000 went to the Army Benevolent Fund
£1,000 was given to the Deben Family Centre, Woodbridge
£500 each went to Sandlings Primary School and Sutton Heath Childcare Centre
Other beneficiaries were the George Baker Therapy Trust and three cadet training forces.
The regiment is due to be deployed to Afghanistan, so it may not be possible to hold a Fund Day 2008.
