Saturday 17 February, 10am - 4pm
Exhibition of photography and children's art.
Hollesley Village Hall.
"Country Cafe" will be providing refreshments.
Village Voices, the newsletter for Hollesley, Boyton, Capel St Andrew and Shingle Street celebrated its first anniversary in November 2006, and to commemorate the event are organizing an Open Day, photography competition and children’s art competition in Hollesley village hall on Saturday 17th February from 10am to 4pm. Well over one hundred photographs were entered in the Photography Competition judged by well-known wildlife photographer Bill Baston.
Whilst enjoying some delicious cakes, light lunches, and tea or coffee in the “Country Café“ created by Hollesley Women’s Institute, watch a slide show of all the digital images entered in the competition plus presentations from the Hollesley Players and the nearby Suffolk punch Trust.
Lots of village groups will be there to tell you about themselves, some are looking for new members, some for volunteers and some to raise much-needed funds. Who knows you may find just that new interest you have been looking for.
Editor Helen Macleod will present the young winners with their prizes at 2.30pm and it would be encouraging to have an appreciative audience to reward their enthusiasm.
