We lived at Ufford and then Orford and I still have a lovely teapot I bought at a little shop in Woodbridge in early 1959 I had a still born son last name ZINDEL who died and was buried at Orford chuch on May 12th 1959. I never knew exactly where he was buried as at that time they sometimes put infants in with other people who were being buried at the same time or so I was told. I would very much like to find out if there is a way I could find out exactly where he is buried so I can have closure.
Also anyone out there remember us from that time era?
I came from Great Yarmouth, born and raised there. We rented a house called Laneside Ufford then rented a house that was in the village square in Orford with a goldfish pond and a big flagpole in the back yard. My brother used to live in Ipswich for many years. Please contact me at twogs#a#sktc.net if you have any !
news for me on the way to find out where my son is buried in the churchyard at Orford.
Thanks, Pam

I visited Woodbridge many times pre and post-war with my parents and it holds many happy memories for me. I am coming again, Aug.9-14. We visited my Aunt Ada and uncle Fred (Hunt) who lived in the very old houses opposite the Angel in Theatre Street. These were demolished to make way for the public toilets. I have tried before to find any existing photographs of these lovely old cottages - my uncle Fred mentioned that they had some connection with French P.o.W.s during the Napoleonic Wars. They had gas lighting, very low doorways and floors and ceilings at every conceivable angle! Has anyone knowledge of any photographs taken prior to demoltion?
